Asteroids

During this week we started to surf the internet and tried to decide what topic to start with. Since the asteroid that came very close to earth recently we decided to start our talks off about asteroids.

What do you think about the likelihood of an asteroid hitting earth?

Also we found this site that can calculate the impact of what a asteroid would cause to earth. This is actually pretty cool.

    I have a telescope at home and afterwork everyday I come home to look at the sky for hours. One day the end will happen with one of those big rocks coming down and smashing right into us. I think that asteroids are more dangerous then anything that we have on earth. No WMD could do as much damage as one of those guys smashing smack dab right into earths core.
